This month features two well-known and popular performers based in San Marcos. The music kicks off at 1:00 p.m. with Eric Sarmiento. Eric is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who plays original music which draws on styles ranging from classic country to jazz and rhythm and blues. In bands and as a solo artist, Eric has performed across the United States, as well as in Europe and Japan. He has recorded a number of albums for independent record labels including Engine Shed, Remorseless, and Alchemist Records. Eric is currently a member of two bands, the New Tribe and Ramblewood, while continuing to perform solo shows, too. Music continues at 2:30 p.m. with the unique musical stylings of guitarist and singer-songwriter Cory Mann. Born and raised in the backwoods of North Texas, Cory got his first culture shock living in the “hoods” of the big city. He connected with hard-working city dwellers and the similarities of “the struggle.” Feeling called to music with its unifying and uplifting properties, Cory brings a funky rock vibe that feels something like the Talking Heads and Tom Petty grooving in the beautiful nature of Central Texas.
