The music kicks off at 1:00 p.m. with Trio Del Rio, featuring the husband and wife team of MariLisa and Tanner Swain; they often feature other musicians, including their twelve-year old daughter, Raeh Corl. This local group creates music crossing many genres, combining swing, jazz, Latin, blues, rock and folk. MariLisa and Tanner met during a songwriter circle in Austin in 1998. and have been making and performing beautiful music together ever since. Together, they have recorded three CDs, and a DVD recorded live at Austin’s famed Cactus Café. MariLisa has been performing locally for many years for children (as the Waggle Taggle Gypsy) and adults, and has released three solo albums. Tanner has a degree in music composition; his mother says was he was “making up songs in his crib. Raeh began playing viola at an early age and has the talent to add greatly to the group’s sound. With MariLisa’s soulful voice and Tanner Swain’s smooth vocals and tasty guitar work, their songs contain rich textures and their lyrics create stories to which listeners can relate.
