Isaiah Sebastian, Magic Jack & Water on Mars

Featured Musicians This month features a trio of talented performers. The music kicks off at 1:00 p.m. with Isaiah Sebastian. Hailing originally from Colorado, Isaiah is a singer-songwriter who now lives in San Marcos. He has played frequently at Dahlia Woods Gallery, Valentino’s, and many other local venues. A talented guitarist and soulful singer, he plays solo shows, and also performs with his band, the Lay Lows; he has also toured the Southwest with the band the Cold Tonys. Jack is a multi-talented songwriter and performer now based in Austin, after spending many years as an Amtrak station master in Rhode Island. He performs and hosts a monthly show at Patsy’s Cowgirl Café in Austin, and plays frequently at the Buda Farmers Market, and many other venues throughout the Central Texas area. Magic Jack is also a well-known poet, appearing at poetry open mics, including Wake the Dead and Stellar Café here in San Marcos. They will play the closing set beginning at 3:00 p.m. Billing themselves a southern rock, swing, folk, and soul influenced band, they cover a wide range of material, from original songs to historic songs in the public domain, and most anything in between. Consisting of Michael Comeau and Moira Thomas on guitars and vocals, and John McIntyre on bass, they play regularly in town at Wake the Dead, Valentino’s, and many other places.
